History Center and museum events in Cannon Beach

Conversation project on subject of dying

Published on December 7, 2017 11:18AM

On Saturday, Dec. 23, the Cannon Beach History Center and Museum will be open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. for arts and crafts, face painting, story time for kids and adults and host a hot chocolate bar. The event is free and open to all.

Join Jennifer Sasser at the Cannon Beach History Center and Museum on Thursday, Jan. 18, at 4 p.m. for an Oregon Humanities Conversation Project with the topic “Talking About Dying.” What do we think about when we think of dying? When we think about our own dying, what do we want most? This program provides an opportunity for participants to reflect on what stories and influences shape their thinking about death and dying and to hear perspectives and ideas from fellow community members. Facilitators are trained professionals working in the fields of chaplaincy, counseling, gerontology, facilitation, and hospice care around Oregon. The event is free and open to the public.

The museum is located at 1387 S. Spruce St.
