Highway 30 bridge work to cause delays between Knappa and Svensen
SVENSEN —A bridge crew works on the Ferris Creek Bridge on U.S. Highway 30 between Knappa and Sevensen during the week of Sept. 8, causing travelers daytime delays of 20 minutes or less, according to the Oregon Department of Transportation.
Multiple full closures of Highway 30 will be needed during the week ODOT said, so crews can move and position a large drill rig over the side of the bridge. During the week, the rig needs to be moved to several different locations at the bridge site.
To avoid the delays, motorists are encouraged to consider alternative local routes or plan for the nearly 20 minute delays.
