WARRENTON — A fishing boat sank at the Warrenton Marina and leaked diesel fuel into the water.

The U.S. Coast Guard received a report about 5:30 a.m. on Sunday that the Western Skies, a 43-foot boat, sank at its moorings and was partially submerged.

The Coast Guard said it opened the Oil Spill Liability Trust Fund for $40,000 and hired Global Diving and Salvage to conduct the cleanup.

No one appeared to be on the boat when it sank, according to the Coast Guard.
