An Astoria man was arrested Sunday for allegedly stealing items from unlocked vehicles in the city over the weekend.

Karac Anderson, 27, allegedly stole items from at least nine different cars. He was charged with first-degree theft, second-degree criminal trespass and unlawful entry into a motor vehicle. Anderson has been convicted of fourth-degree assault in Clatsop County on two occasions since 2014.

Astoria Police are still in possession of several stolen items. Anyone whose car might have been entered without the owner’s permission on Saturday or Sunday can call Officer Cory Gerig at 503-325-4411.
