‘Immigration 101’ offers workshop to public

Find out about the immigration system and its impacts on families and communities in a free public workshop from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Columbian Theater in Astoria.

The training is hosted by Indivisible North Coast Oregon and presented by the Rural Organizing Project.

The workshop is in English. Topics include the impacts of being undocumented, detention policies and building productive relationships with immigrants. The Rural Organizing Project also presents its family preparedness packet and educational immigration board game.
