Bail was set at $250,000 Monday for an Astoria woman who was arrested after allegedly stabbing her father.

Alasa Stoinich, 25, of Astoria, allegedly stabbed him three times in his upper body just after 7 a.m. Friday morning after he told her to leave their home on the 1400 block of Irving Avenue. Anthony Stoinich, 57, was able to wrestle the knife away.

Alasa Stoinich then chased him out of the house with a golf club before her father was able to return and lock her out. Police located her at 16th Street and Franklin Avenue shortly after. Anthony Stoinich was taken to Columbia Memorial hospital, treated and released.

Alasa Stoinich has been charged with second-degree assault and attempt to commit a class B felony as she awaits a potential indictment later this week.
