SEASIDE — One person was injured when a Ford Ranger struck an embankment and rolled over on U.S. Highway 101 just south of Seaside about 3:15 p.m. Friday.

Seaside Fire Division Chief David Rankin said no other vehicles were involved, and the driver, who is not being named at this time, was sent to Providence Seaside Hospital with unknown injuries.

The cause is under investigation by Oregon State Police. The highway was closed about 4 p.m. to one lane of traffic. Rankin said he expected the road to be clear within the hour once a tow truck was available to remove the totaled vehicle.
