About 1,000 Pacific Power customers lost power Thursday morning in Astoria.

The outage in the western part of the city, which lasted nearly 1 1/2 hours, started when high winds damaged equipment, said Alisa Dunlap, Pacific Power’s regional business manager.

Power was restored shortly before 9 a.m.

The National Weather Service issued a high wind warning for Thursday until 3 p.m.
