A woman driving northbound Wednesday on the Astoria Bridge plowed into the back of a stopped car, causing a four-vehicle wreck.

Road crews have been repairing part of the bridge near the Washington state side, causing delays. Renee L. Hunsinger, 39, of Astoria, was driving a 2005 Toyota 4Runner when she struck the line of cars stopped for the construction.

Richard B. Chambers, 62, of Ocean Park, Washington, and Donna M. Sherman, 57, of Roseburg, were taken to Columbia Memorial Hospital for precautionary reasons. Hunsinger and another driver did not report any injuries.

Hunsinger was distracted and did not notice the line of stopped cars, according to Washington State Patrol. She was cited for negligent driving and driving without insurance.
