A Doty, Washington, man was injured in a rollover crash Thursday in Warrenton.

Christopher Jon Brown, 48, was taken to Columbia Memorial Hospital in Astoria after a car rolled over a number of times on Warrenton Drive near 15th Street shortly after 11:30 p.m. He was later taken via Life Flight to the Oregon Health & Science University Trauma Center.

Warrenton police saw Brown walking away from the car. Officers noticed a strong odor of alcohol but did not perform a field sobriety test due to the injuries, Warrenton Police Chief Mathew Workman said.

The case has been forwarded to the Clatsop County District Attorney’s Office for consideration of charges.

Though he carries a Washington state driver’s license, Brown had recently been living in Hammond, Workman said.
