Wildfires continue to burn across many parts of the western half of the country including California, Colorado, Oregon, Washington, Montana and other places. Canada is also dealing with fire, as multiple large incidents burn in British Columbia contributing to poor air quality in the Pacific Northwest. And while debate rages about climate change, forest management, fire suppression and skyrocketing costs of fighting fires, thousands of men and women are still on the ground and in the air battling intense out-of-control blazes.
