Every year the Bureau of Labor Statistics lists the most dangerous jobs in the country — and every year, commercial fishing is near the top. In 2018, it was second only to logging. Crew from the F/V Courageous trained this week at the Warrenton Marina and East Mooring Basin on emergency scenarios, such as someone overboard, extinguishing fires or pumping out water from flooding.
