June 16

8:06 a.m., 1500 block Lea Way: An assault in the 4th degree was reported.

9:12 a.m., 1500 block Lea Way: An arrest is made regarding the earlier assault at this location. The party is charged with assault and failure to register as a sex offender.

11:54 a.m., 2400 block S. Roosevelt: A person transported to the hospital believed to be in a diabetic coma state turned out to be intoxicated.

1:04 p.m. Seaside police station: A person came in to register as a sex offender.

 

June 17

12:26 p.m., 400 block S. Roosevelt Drive: Panhandlers reported in the area disperse before police arrive.

3:42 p.m., 1100 S. Downing: A missing person is reported.

3:53 p.m., 3200 Bayview Terrace: Parents seeking information how to trespass their child who comes inside and breaks things in the residence are advised it is not possible to trespass a juvenile who resides in the home.

4:42 p.m., Downing Street: Callers complain about a man with a megaphone driving up and down the street warning of a tsunami. Police are unable to locate.

 

June 18

10:57 a.m., S. Franklin: Caller reports a man and a woman using the same stall in a public restroom. Officers contact the couple who say they are homeless and “just washing up.”

 

June 19

10:00 a.m., 1500 block S. Roosevelt: A man complaining of chest pain after being lunged and barked at by a dog was transported to Columbia Memorial Hospital by Medix.

10:32 a.m., Avenue K: A caller complained about a trespasser who had come into the yard and defecated. Officer made contact with the subject and informed them of the complaint.

10:49 a.m., First Avenue: A man was taken into police custody on a PC affidavit.

 

June 20

10:50 a.m., 700 block S. Edgewood: Anonymous caller reports neighbor feeding birds and leaving trash all over the yard.

7:18 p.m., 1300 block N. Holladay: Caller reports someone videotaping and yelling at neighbors, saying he “hopes they OD.”

10:28 p.m., N. Prom: Caller reports man sleeping in his car. The man is advised he can’t sleep in his car, or drive it either, as he has no valid license.

 

June 21

1:00 a.m. Lea Way: Caller says his vehicle has been stolen; he said it was taken by his ex-wife. He is informed this is a civil matter.

1:39 p.m., 300 block Broadway: Police are called when a shopkeeper believes he’s been given a fake $100 bill. Police say the bill is real.

8:13 p.m., N. Wahanna: A person is arrested and charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants.

 

June 22

4:46 a.m., 900 block S. Holladay: A case of child neglect was reported in the second degree.

9:57 a.m., Quatat Park Docks: Police respond to a report of a kid or kids trying to kill pigeons with rocks. Before police arrived, the kids were scared off by a citizen.

2:45 p.m., Highway 101 and McDonald’s: Police respond to a report of people doing drugs in the restroom. The parties were trespassed and the male was arrested on a warrant.

 

June 23

9:23 a.m., Avenue U: A missing person is reported.

10:13 p.m., Franklin and Avenue G: Caller reports a person urinating in the street. The police contact the subject and arrest him for disorderly conduct and also send him to non-criminal detox.

11:56 p.m., 1100 block Broadway: Subjects reported for sleeping in bushes are contacted by police who arrest one of the individuals on a detainer warrant.

 

June 24

2:13 p.m., Beach Tower: A child reported missing was subsequently located safe and sound.

6:30 p.m., Fultano’s pizza location on Broadway: Caller reports someone shouting profanities out their window. Police contact subject who claims he was shouting religious statements. No crime was committed.

8:20 p.m., 500 block Avenue A: A person was arrested and charged with interfering with a police officer. The person was additionally charged with a second offense of resisting arrest, and a third offense of assaulting a public safety officer.

 

June 25

10:59 p.m., Quatat Restroom: Property crimes were reported.

 

June 26

10:14 a.m., Seaside police station: A sex offender comes in to register.

12:22 p.m., Seaside police station: Another registered sex offender comes in to register.

1:20 p.m., 700 block S. Edgewood: A caller complains about a neighbor violating a local ordinance against feeding wild birds. Police contact the neighbor who denies feeding the birds, blaming her daughter.

3:27 p.m., 2500 block Millcreek Lane: A caller reports to police that a neighbor has stolen a bench from her property. The bench is returned prior to police arrival.

4:21 p.m., 600 block Broadway: Police respond to a report of a man sitting in his car with the engine running for over an hour. The man says he fell asleep waiting for his family to finish their shopping.

 

 June 27

4:27 p.m.,, 400 block S. Roosevelt: Police assist Medix with a disoriented person.

10:35 p.m., 2300 block S. Roosevelt: A structure fire was reported.

 

June 28

5:42 p.m., 700 block S. Holladay: A burglary in the first degree is reported.

6:26 p.m., 1600 block N. Roosevelt: A caller reported a person walking along the highway flailing their arms and “acting crazy.” Police made contact with the person who was not intoxicated or otherwise impaired; they were just walking home.

8:17 p.m., 200 block S. Roosevelt: A restaurant owner contacted police about a couple who came to eat and then fell asleep in the restaurant. They refused to leave. Officers on arrival told the couple they were trespassed from the place for 6 months.

8:44 p.m., 200 block Broadway: Caller reported a motor vehicle that struck a dog and then left the area. The owner took the dog to a vet in Astoria. Police are unable to locate the vehicle.

11:50 p.m.,  Highway 101 and Avenue H: A person is arrested and charged with DUII.

 

June 29

4:37 a.m., 600 block Avenue T: A couple fighting about their living circumstances are advised to separate.

11:04 a.m., 500 block S. Roosevelt Drive: Used hypodermic needles are located and properly disposed of by the police.

12:16 p.m., 1000 block S. Downing: A vicious dog is reported.

1:29 p.m., Pocket Park: A group of transients accused of smoking marijuana tell police they are smoking cigarettes. They said they would leave the area.

3:04 p.m., Avenue N and the Beach: A subject reported to be exposing himself told police he was urinating. He is advised it is against the law to urinate on the beach.

3:13 p.m., 700 block Avenue S: Subject reports her marijuana plant that she sets out in the sun was stolen from her yard. Police have a talk with neighbors.

9:34 p.m., 1900 block Spruce Drive: A caller reports that someone is peeping her front door peep hole. Police determine it is a moth blocking the hole.

10:15 p.m., 1200 block S. Columbia: Police assist in rescuing a bird trapped in a power line. The homeowner is advised of a bird sanctuary to further assist the bird.
