The Sunset Empire Park and Recreation District will host a community forum to open a discussion on current district facility needs and possible expansion. The forum, the first in a series over the next few months, will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 29, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Bob Chisholm Community Center.

The Sunset Empire Park and Recreation District’s mission is to invite and inspire our entire community to engage in positive life activities for you, or “PLAY!” The district serves to meet the recreation needs of South Clatsop County since its founding, nearly 50 years ago.

Over the past several years, the district has recognized that due to limited physical space, they are sometimes unable to meet the recreation needs of the residents.

The forum will provide an opportunity for community members to hear about potential options for district facility expansion and voice their opinions and feedback. Light refreshments will be provided.

The Bob Chisholm Community Center is located at 1225 Avenue A in Seaside. More information about the forum can be found at sunsetempire.com or by calling 503-738-3311.
