Seaside’s water rescue team in action earlier this summer.

Yesterday at 7:35 p.m., the Seaside Fire Department responded to a call of two boogie boarders who appeared to be in distress.

After the report, lifeguards and members of the Seaside water rescue team headed to the Cove, Chief Joey Daniels said Saturday.

The two that the caller thought were in distress were assisted back to the shore by surfers.

Both patients had no medical issues and refused any medical care.
