Trail’s End Art Association and Gallery honors Richard Newman on Saturday, Oct. 7, from 2 to 5 p.m.

Newman, the featured artist for October at Trail’s End Art Gallery presents “Photography in Black and White,” includinbg his most recent works printed on aluminum, canvas and pearlized metallic paper.

Newman is the president of Trail’s Ends Art Association. His photograph of a DC-3 airplane on aluminum received first place in the annual judged show in 2016. His photographs are hung in various coffee shops in Beaverton and Portland, and he has developed his own website located at www.window-to-the-world-photography.com.

Newman grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, and now lives in Beaverton and Gearhart.

Visit the gallery on Saturday, Oct. 7. Along with other members’ work, the show will be open through the month of October. The public is welcome to browse the gallery featuring an all-new monthly exhibit of oil paintings, watercolors, acrylics, photography, collage, cards and gifts.

Besides gallery shows, the association offers workshops and classes for all levels and media, as well as open studio opportunities free of charge to members and a small usage fee for others.
