Trail’s end art association
During the first Gearhart ArtWalk of the year the association will feature Bill Logan, a new member to Trail’s End and quite an accomplished one at that. The show opening will hold a reception in Logan’s honor on Saturday, March 3, from 2 to 5 p.m.
Logan hails from Massillon, Ohio, and now lives in Astoria. He began painting with oil on large plywood sheets while in high school. His artwork took a hiatus while he earned a living as a career journeyman lineman. As an art student at Clatsop Community College, he returned to refine his natural talent. He uses a graphic tablet to create abstract drawings, combining computer tools with his brushes. He selects his colors and blends them on the computer screen as one would traditional materials.
For more information, drop by or call during winter hours of Wednesday-Sunday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.; 503-717-9458. The gallery is located in Gearhart at 656 A Street, one block south of Pacific Way.
