Ad agency, child care coming to $100 million Northwest Portland development

The first tenants have signed on for a Northwest Portland project that developers hope will kick off a new Portland neighborhood.

Portland marketing agency Adpearance said it will move from its current headquarters near downtown to 30,000 square feet in the $100 million Field Office development north of the Pearl District. Childcare provider The Children's Garden will open a facility there, too, developers said Thursday.

The 300,000-square-foot Field Office consists of two six-story buildings, set to open early next year. Developers who call themselves Project hope the buildings will anchor a small neighborhood they're calling the Frontside district.

It's a riverfront property bounded by the Fremont Bridge and Highway 30. Field Office is along Northwest Front Avenue, next to railroad tracks northwest of the bridge.
