LONG BEACH — Long Beach Mayor Jerry Phillips presented his Mayor’s award to Wauna Federal Credit Union in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the Food4Kids program in Long Beach.

Over the past year Wauna has donated more than $12,000 to Food4Kids, of which $7,000 was direct employee donations. They also purchased all of the backpacks this year.

According to Natalie Hanson, chair of the project, “Without Wauna’s help and generous contribution, we would not have been able to operate the program at the level we did this year. We are truly indebted to them.”
