Jordan’s Hope for Recovery holds its first Recovery Rally & Fun Run/Walk at the Astoria High School (AHS) track on Saturday. Registration and check-in are at 9 a.m.; the one-hour run/walk is at 10 a.m. Registration is $10, and includes a T-shirt (for adults only), wristband, lunch and one raffle ticket. Children 10 and under can run/walk for free, but must be registered.
Lunch is at 11 a.m., and music and speakers are from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mayor Arline LaMear speaks, and there are Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous speaker panels and an open mic. Music is by Brownsmead Flats, Jeremy and the AHS Band. Activities for children are provided by AHS students.
