WARRENTON — The first Local Holiday Shopping & Community Fair is being hosted at Warrenton High School from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. This is planned to be an annual event. While shopping, free babysitting for ages 2 and older is available, provided by the WHS Student Council.
Numerous vendors are there, including local artisans and businesses, as well as local nonprofit organizations, such as The Harbor, whose mission is to provide intervention, recovery and support to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking. Resources and information will be shared. Another goal of the fair is to increase youth exposure to local businesses and nonprofit organizations, giving them another perspective on career and volunteering options.
Proceeds from the fair will be donated to The Harbor and the WHS Student Council.
