The Pacific Coast Seafood employees will be temporarily relocating to the Del Mar Seafoods facility at North Tongue Point by the end of the week.

Details were announced by a representative of company CEO Frank Dulcich Monday.

The move is temporary and designed to be in time for Saturday’s start to the salmon and whiting season.

The workers – 142 of them – were displaced by the June 4 fire at the Warrenton plant, that broke out before 11 a.m. and burned throughout the evening. The fire began in an upper-level room with electrical equipment and the building was completely destroyed.

A cause has not yet been determined. North County law enforcement agencies ruled the cause was not suspicious. The investigation has been turned over to Pacific Seafood and Wells Fargo Insurance.
