SEASIDE — A hot-shooting Cascade team left Seaside with a 56-24 win Tuesday night, in a nonleague girls basketball game at the Gulls’ Nest.

The No. 6-ranked Cougars led from start to finish, scoring the first eight points of the game and building a 34-12 halftime lead.

Cascade highlighted the first half with a pair of buzzer-beaters — 3-pointers by Kirstin Cade to end the first quarter and Halle’ Wright to end the second.

Gracie Rasmussen and Wright scored 10 points apiece for Cascade, while Gretchen Hoekstre had 14 points to lead the Gulls, who lost their fourth straight.
