Boys basketball: Naselle Comets blaze past Pateros

LONGVIEW, Wash. — The Naselle Comets are headed to Spokane, following a 66-42 win over Pateros in a Class 1B boys basketball state playoff Friday in Longview, Washington.

Naselle held a 20-12 lead after one quarter, then put the game away with a 26-5 run in the second period.

Cole Dorman scored 14 points, Antonio Nolan added 13 and Jacob Eaton tossed in 11 for the Comets.

Naselle plays Tacoma Baptist in the first round of the Hardwood Classic in Spokane, tip-off at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. The winner will play Sunnyside Christian.
