Girls basketball: Knappa loses two games and one player

KNAPPA — Knappa held a 17-13 lead at halftime, but the Loggers went cold at the offensive end in the second half, and Oregon Episcopal scored a 44-24 win Saturday night on Day 2 of the Knappa Tip-Off Classic.

Sophia Carlson scored 10 points and grabbed five rebounds to lead the Loggers, who led 12-4 after one quarter.

Vicki Ramvick and Madelynn Weaver had six rebounds apiece for Knappa, before Ramvick went down with a dislocated knee late in the fourth quarter.

Lauren Han had 21 points for the Aardvarks, who went on a 16-2 run in the third period.

In a first round game of the tournament, Mahala Fisher and Kaycie Otis scored 14 points apiece to lead Toledo to a 58-28 win Friday over Knappa.

The Loggers trailed just 13-9 after one quarter, before the Boomers went on a 38-13 run over the next two quarters.

Aiko Miller had 11 points and five rebounds for Knappa, followed by Carlson with 10 points and Weaver with five rebounds and three steals.
