County detective clues in to a rewarding job

Born at the former St. Mary’s Hospital in Astoria, Det. Jama Hulon has been a nearly lifelong resident of the local community.

She’s been a detective with the Clatsop County Sheriff’s Department for more than two years on a four-year rotation and finds the work rewarding and full of compelling challenges.
