U.S. Coast Guard hoists woman from Cannon Beach cliff

CANNON BEACH — A U.S. Coast Guard MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew and a Cannon Beach Fire and Rescue crew rescued two women from a cliff near Cannon Beach Sunday evening.

At approximately 4:50 p.m., watch standers at Coast Guard Sector Columbia River in Warrenton received a call reporting two women stuck on a cliff at Chapman Point on the north end of Cannon Beach.
