Juneva Anne Brunswick

Nov. 3, 1937 — Nov. 13, 2017

Juneva Anne Brunswick was born Nov. 3, 1937 in San Francisco to Maxine E. Tregillis and Ambrose T. Clancy. Anne grew up in San Francisco with her three brothers, Patrick, Bruce and Michael Clancy.

She went on to marry Lawrence Boardman. They had four children, Debbie, Tom, Norman and Tim. She divorced Lawrence and moved with her children to Oregon in 1968. She married Larry Brunswick Sr. on June 9, 1971 in Astoria and had two children with him, John and Larry Jr.

She has been an active member of St. Mary, Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Astoria, where she was treasurer for the Catholic Daughters, volunteered for cleaning service, and faithfully ironed linens for the church. She retired from Lum’s Auto Center after many years.

Her family remembers her as a solid, loving part of their lives. She enjoyed sharing parts of her heritage, including making Cornish pasties and telling stories of growing up in San Francisco. She loved reading, and was eager to adapt from paper books to the instant delivery of digital material.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Patrick and Bruce; her sons, Norman and John; and her husband, Larry Sr.

She is survived by her brother, Michael Clancy; one daughter, Deborah “Debbie” Leiferman; three sons and their wives, Lawrence “Tom” and Diane Boardman, Timothy “Tim” Boardman, and Larry Jr. and Kelly Brunswick; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

On Nov. 20, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., a visitation will be held at Ocean View Funeral and Cremation Service, 1213 Franklin Ave., in Astoria. At 3 p.m., the rosary will be prayed at St. Francis de Sales Mission, 867 Fifth Ave., in Hammond, followed by a Mass at 3:30 p.m.

Interment will be at Willamette National Cemetery the following day.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to St. Francis de Sales in Hammond or to St. Mary, Star of the Sea in Astoria.

A digital guest book is available on the Ocean View Funeral and Cremation Service website,
