Shirley Dougan was born on March 20, 1944, to Ted and Edith Romsos in Bremerton, Washington. She grew up and attended school in Astoria, Oregon, where she met her lifelong sweetheart.
Her creativity and passionate energy were expressed in her many endeavors as a hairdresser, tole painting teacher and jewelry maker. She was a master craftsman and excelled in everything she put her mind to.
Shirley loved lunches with girlfriends, and going to the movies and Mariners baseball games with her husband, William. She loved spending time with her three daughters and four grandchildren, and always put family first. She cherished lifelong friendships from her childhood in Astoria.
Shirley is survived by her husband of 52 years, William Dougan; daughter Debbie Dougan, granddaughter Autumn and grandson Graeson; daughter Amy Fairall, son-in-law Glenn Fairall, granddaughter Anniston and grandson Harrison; daughter Kelly Dougan, son-in-law Josh Nichols, and beloved golden retriever Zoe; sisters Jan Maier and Joyce Romsos; and several nieces and nephews.
