Adrienne Norris adopted Astoria as her home when she moved there in 2005. She worked at Astor School as a foster grandparent. Her next project was the garden on Exchange Street, behind the Fort George Brewery.
While walking downtown, she found the alley between Commercial and Duane streets, and was so horrified by the mess, she made almost daily trips with her broom to clean. She didn’t want the tourists to see it so messy.
She was fun loving and kind to all.
Dementia set in, and she moved near family to Central Point in 2014. She passed quietly at home. She is survived by her daughter, Noreen Peterson.
