LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Jordan Patterson hit a pair of solo homers and four hits, driving in three as the Albuquerque Isotopes defeated the Las Vegas 51s 7-2 on Friday.
Albuquerque went up 3-0 in the fourth after Patterson hit a solo home run and Mike Tauchman hit an RBI single.
The Isotopes later added a run in the fifth and three in the sixth. In the fifth, Derrik Gibson hit a sacrifice fly, scoring Noel Cuevas, while David Dahl hit an RBI single and then scored on a double by Ryan McMahon in the sixth.
Albuquerque left-hander Ryan Carpenter (6-6) picked up a quality start and the win after allowing two runs on six hits over seven innings. Opposing starter Tyler Pill (4-3) took the loss in the Pacific Coast League game after a rough outing in which he allowed seven runs and 12 hits over five innings.
