“At the Water’s Gate” is hosting their annual winter clothing giveaway for families on the North Coast.

We have collected coats, hats, gloves, and other items to give to families, Saturday, Nov. 21, Saturday at the Laundromat located at 1223 S. Roosevelt Dr., Seaside. Clothes will be handed out from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. This nonprofit group will also be washing two loads per family during the regular Laundry Love event taking place at the same time.

The Laundry Love initiative consists of regular opportunities to help people who are struggling financially by assisting them with doing their laundry. For those living below the poverty line, washing clothes presents both a logistical problem and a financial hardship. Laundry Love partners with local laundromats in cleaning the clothes of those living in shelters, motels, cars, garages and on the streets.

Drop off clean used clothes at Sea Star Gelato, 8 N. Columbia St.; the Cove Church, across from McDonald’s; or the home of Carl and Shirley Yates, 921 13th Ave.

The program is not generated or done by the owners of the Laundromat. For more information, contact 541-580-6734.
