The Oregon Healthy Teens Survey (2002) asked 11th-graders about their home life. Comparing teens who had never had sex with those who had sex before age 15, the survey found that teens who had never had sex are more likely to report:
their parents know where they are;
the rules of the family are clear;
they could talk to their parent about a personal problem;
they ate with their family five or more times in the past seven days.
