OYSTERVILLE, Wash. - The Oysterville Church ecumenical vesper services continue this weekend with Pastor Grant Chinn of the Grace Chapel Foursquare Church in Long Beach, Wash., presiding at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 30.

Ethel Smith, a soprano from Ilwaco, Wash., will perform a selection of songs. In addition, there will be congregational singing of some old hymns to the accompaniment of the pump organ, which will be played by Gloria Pidgeon. This historic church has acoustics that provide for an old-fashioned church experience.

This is the third of the 2002 summer series of ecumenical vespers services held in the Oysterville Church each Sunday, which are sponsored by the Oysterville Restoration Foundation and endorsed by the Long Beach Peninsula Church Council.

There is no charge. A variety of musical performances will rotate through the summer and short devotional messages will be offered by a rotation of presiders from area churches.
