Mission Statement:

Astoria High School, in partnership with the community, will provide engaging and inspiring learning experiences that enhance achievement, teach critical thinking skills, develop character, improve the lives of all students, and instill a commitment to life-long learning.

The council is composed of three staff members - John Jeans, Clarissa Caccavano, Molly Callaghan; three parents - Wendy Howie, Carla Long, Laurie Drage; one student - Alysia Johnson; and assistant principal Gary Sunderland. There are no vacancies on the council this year. The council meets the first Thursday of each month at 4:00 p.m. in the school library. The meetings are open to the public.
