SEASIDE - AK Gallery features exciting new works by Northwest artists through Feb. 10.

Astoria painter KA Hughes explores color and line to create "neo-pop" expressive images. Hughes has been working as a visual artist for 10 years and living on the Oregon Coast for the past 15 years. This is her first exhibit at AK Gallery.

Since emerging from his native New Mexico in 1996, he has directed and produced three films. His first feature film, "The Glass Pool Incident," premiered at the New York Film and Video Festival in 2002. Most recently, his film "Naked Seoul" was honored as the best art film of 2004 by Willamette Week. Currently, Kaven is working on his first solo show, opening at Gallery 500 in July in Portland. "Naked Seoul" will be available on DVD for show and sale at AK Gallery.
