All students attending Astoria High School during the 2004-2005 school year must register for enrollment prior to beginning school. This includes students who wish to enroll in Astoria High School's alternative program.
After you have submitted your forms, paid your fees and any outstanding fines, YOUR STUDENT IS REGISTERED.
We would like the majority of the registration process to be done by mail this year. Following the instructions closely will ensure successful registration and save you time. Please do not hesitate to call the office at 325-3911 if you have any questions about the registration process.
Please Note: If a student does not register, he/she will have to wait in the office until a counselor is available to register him/her on the first day of classes. Students who have not registered will be the first ones dropped from over-enrolled classes.
BASIC INFORMATION SHEET REQUIRED TO REGISTER
We have enclosed a computer printout of the basic student information we have for your child. To maintain up-to-date records for all our students, we require that EVERY STUDENT return this form at the time of registration.
Change or correct and information by making changes directly on the form in pen or pencil.
Write "NO CHANGES" if the information is correct. (Even if there are no changes to be made, this form must be submitted at registration).
Write in your student's Social Security Number (SSN) if it is not already on the form. (Note: We would be more than happy to provide you with a "Disclosure Statement", as required by law, explaining the usage of the SSN at school.)
Please add/delete/change the contact and emergency information on your form.
FEES & FINES MUST BE PAID BEFORE REGISTERING
All textbook returns, fines and detentions from last year must be cleared before a student may register. Fine letters were sent out this summer.
During registration, the fine list and instructions on how and where to pay will be posted outside the library and in the Commons.
Incoming Freshman will need to pay any fines from last year at Astoria Middle School.
We appreciate your cooperation with this scheduling procedure. We are trying to avoid long lines, delays, and parking problems.
CLASS SCHEDULE PICK UP
Students who have registered by mail should stop by the high school to pick up their schedule on the designated registration day (see schedule at top right). It will only take a minute!
The counselors will be available at registration to answer questions regarding student schedules. Mrs. Zea will make an appointment for your convenience.
PARENTS CAN REGISTER FOR CHILD IF NECESSARY
Parents: if for some reason you cannot register by mail and your son or daughter cannot come in personally to register, you are encouraged to come in and register for them.
Please try to register by mail. You will not have to wait in line.
