Thousands of Americans will march in Washington, D.C., April 25 in affirmation of the reproductive rights of women. On the same day in Astoria, North Coast residents will march in Astoria to celebrate those same civil rights and to remind Oregonians that women's right to choose what happens to their own bodies are under serious attack, organizers say.

Oregonians for Choice welcome participants as they march on the Riverwalk, through downtown Astoria and back again. Organizers hope the combined voices from the North Coast to Washington, D.C. will be heard.

Marchers for Choice will gather in the parking lot near the Columbia River Maritime Museum at 3 p.m. Sunday. The route heads west down Marine Drive to Sixth Street, turns north to the Riverwalk and then back east to the museum parking lot or to Baked Alaska restaurant for a no-host event.
