Start sharing the holiday spirit early by being a part of the River Theater's holiday comedy, "My Three Angels," directed by Mick Alderman.

Auditions are 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and Monday, Oct. 10 and 11 at the theater, 230 W. Marine Drive. Roles are available for seven men and three women, ages 18 to 70.

Described as "a wicked holiday comedy," the play is about three convicts who become the good angels of a put-upon shopkeeper and his family. The 1953 play by Sam and Bella Spewack is perhaps better known by the two film interpretations it inspired, both titled "We're No Angels." The story highlights the seasonal theme of goodwill to all by warning against judgments made on outward impressions.

Scripts are available at the Clatsop Community College Library. Performance dates for "My Three Angels" are Nov. 19-21 and Dec. 2-5 and 9-12. For information, call (503) 325-7487.
