This year, the Astoria Regatta adds quality family-oriented musical performances to its lineup of festivities.

A Barbershop Bonanza fills the stage at the Liberty Theater tonight at 8 p.m. Headlining the concert are the Tualatin Valley Harmony Masters, a 40-person group of singers. The program will also showcase award-winning barbershop quartets like the Friends, Urban Legends, Youth and Ages and local singers the Long Beach VLQ. Following the concert, the public is invited to an "afterglow" gathering at The Schooner, where listeners are welcome to join in singing with the performers.

On Saturday, nationally known a cappella singing group The Coats appear at the Liberty at 8 p.m. The Seattle-based group won the National Harmony Sweepstakes and began touring heavily on the college circuit, which led to appearances on national television programs and a performance at the White House.

Tickets for each concert are $10 for adults, $8 for students and seniors and $6 for children younger than 12. Purchase tickets at the Astoria-Warrenton Chamber of Commerce, the Warrenton Visitors Center, Thiel's Music, Bach 'n Rock, or the Liberty box office.
