The Astoria Children's Museum hosts an Earth Day Celebration from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 25.

Events start with paper hat making and face painting. Join the staff and volunteers on bike, foot, stroller or wagon for a costume parade beginning at 12:30 p.m. from the ACM to the Columbia River Maritime Museum along the RiverWalk. On the return walk, paraders will help clean up the riverfront.

Kids and families can learn about yard waste and worm composting, river, garden and food issues, and can even ride a stationary bike to make a smoothie! Other activities include planting seeds to take home, collecting a Douglas fir sapling to landscape your yard and using your imagination to create a recycled art masterpiece. Storytelling and music complete the day's celebration.

The Astoria Children's Museum is located at 2968 Marine Drive. For information, call (503) 325-8669.
