A free discussion group, Choices for Sustainable Living, will meet Thursdays for nine weeks, beginning Thursday. Participants will explore everyday ways to live to make a lighter impact on the earth. Discussions will include how to take steps toward ecologically, socially and economically sustainable lifestyles. Participants will take turns facilitating, using material developed by the Northwest Earth Institute, a nonprofit organization in Portland.

There are two times and locations. ENCORE members meet at Peace Lutheran Church, 12th and Exchange streets, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. and another group meets at the Seaside Public Library, 60 N. Roosevelt Drive, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. For information, call Judith Culver at 738-8939.
