SEASIDE — The Friends of the Seaside Library present “Growing Carnivorous Plants” with Jacob Farin of Sarracenia Northwest at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Community Room of the library, 1131 Broadway, where there will be a variety of plants for sale.

The genus Sarracenia consists of 15 species and subspecies found naturally in North America. Carnivorous plants attract, capture, kill, and digest animals and protozoans using diverse mechanisms.
