Astoria 9-1-1 was assisted by Medix Ambulance personnel and the Astoria Fire Department for the event. Dispatcher Jennifer Peden ordered all of the supplies and assembled the bags, each one containing a public safety coloring book, crayons, glow in the dark stickers, a glow stick, a whistle and several other goodies.

“It is so much fun seeing all the kids in costume each year,” said Betty Colgrove, the Medix communications manager. “We are already looking forward to next year.”
