HAMMOND — The Angora Hiking Club meets Nov. 20 for a Hammond-Warrenton Estuary walk and tour of the Point Adams National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Research Station in Hammond, starting at 9:30 a.m. at Lighthouse Park, 44 N. Main Ave. in Warrenton.

A tour of the museum in the park is followed by a level 3-mile walk along the estuary shoreline to Point Adams. Although the station is not typically open to the public, the Angora Hiking Club has arranged for a facility tour which will showcase the historical building and the research activities conducted there.

Walkers are asked to wear sturdy walking shoes and bring adequate water. No dogs are allowed. Nonmembers of the club are welcome to participate in this walk as space permits. Those planning to attend should call Jim and Kathleen Hudson at 503-861-2802.
