Common Ground Interspiritual Fellowship

A Purification Service at Common Ground Interspiritual Fellowship is held on the first Sunday of each month from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the Wesley Room of Astoria First United Methodist Church, 1076 Franklin Ave. Use the 11th Street entrance.

Cannon Beach Community

CANNON BEACH — Cannon Beach Community Church, 132 E. Washington St., holds an Evensong service at 6 p.m. the first and third Sunday of the month. All are welcome.

Evensong features Wes Warhmund (guitar, flute and clarinet) and meditative songs, Psalms, readings, candlelight and time for quiet reflection.

SVENSEN — Crossroads Community Church, a Friends Fellowship, at 40618 Old Highway 30, is holding a Free Family Film Friday at 6:45 p.m. Friday. Come enjoy a film and fellowship. St. Mary, Star of the Sea Parish

On Sunday, the Knights of Columbus of St.Mary, Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 1465 Grand Ave., are hosting their first breakfast for the new year. Eggs, sausage, pancakes and all the trimmings are being served after the 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. Masses.

Sunday Catechists meet to celebrate the Feast of Epiphany after the 10:30 a.m. Mass in the St. Michael’s classroom in the Star of the Sea School building, 1411 Grand Ave.

The ministry to Catholic Women, Women of the River, has a “Dutch treat” luncheon planned from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday at El Compadre, 119 S. Main Ave. in Warrenton. All are welcome. RSVP to Genie Marxer at 503-861-2945 to reserve a spot. Those planning to attend are requested to not bring young children.

The St. Vincent de Paul food bank, located behind the church on 15th Street, is open from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesdays and from 10 a.m. to noon Friday and Saturday. For information, call 503-325-2007.

Grace Episcopal Church

Following the 10 a.m. Sunday service at Grace Episcopal Church, 1545 Franklin Ave., an Epiphany cake is being served during coffee hour containing hidden tokens representing the gifts of love, faith, wealth and labor hidden. Those who find the tokens provide the cake next year.

The Labyrinth is open from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday. A labyrinth introduction is offered at 3 p.m., upon request. It takes an average of 30 minutes to complete the walk.

Grace Church is offering an ecumenical Taizé Prayer & Song service at 7 p.m. Wednesday. All are welcome.
