Youth throughout Clatsop County are invited, and are welcome to bring their friends, to a Super Saturday Workshop, a fun-filled day to do hands-on activities while learning about 4-H and all it has to offer. This workshop is for 4-H members and nonmembers, and is being held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 24 at the Clatsop County Fairgrounds.

Youth ages 5 to 8 will be involved with doing a variety of crafts, games and art projects to take home.

Older youth, ages 9 to 19, will be able to attend a variety of classes from shotgun, baking, stomp rockets and fitness to dog obedience, arts and crafts, and horse riding. Dress in layers and wear warm, comfortable shoes that are suitable for cold, wet weather and physical activities, as there will be some activities held in outside venues.

In lieu of charging an event fee, donations of nonperishable food for the Clatsop County Food Bank are requested. Kids can bring their own lunch, or lunch is available for $5 with the choice of two different menus.

Reservations are required by Jan. 21 and space is limited. Children in grades K-3 must reserve a spot since there are only 40 seats available. For information, call Jared Delay at the Oregon State University extension office from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at 503-325-8573.
