CANNON BEACH - The Coaster Theatre Playhouse rounds out its summer repertory bill with the opening of the classic thriller, "Deathtrap," Thursday, July 8.

Playwright Sidney Bruhl, living in his comfortable Connecticut home, shows his annoying wife the manuscript of a play called "Deathtrap," written by one of his students. It's a fabulous thriller, better than anything Bruhl could write. Could he pass it off as his own, rescue his career and conveniently get rid of the student? Suspense steadily grows and the plot twists and turns until the last startling moments of the play.

The cast includes Frank Jagodnik, Stephanie McGuire, Tylor Neist, Carol Denny and Stewart Martin, directed by Peter Magee.

Tickets for "Deathtrap" are $14 to $16. Also playing are two other summer rep shows, the fast-paced comedic farce, "Moon over Buffalo," and "Honk!" based on Hans Christian Andersen's classic story of the ugly duckling. Shows are presented Wednesdays through Sundays throughout the summer. For show times and dates, call (503) 436-1242 or visit
