Documentary filmmaker Mike Shiley joins North Coast audiences Wednesday, April 21 at the Clatsop Community College Performing Arts Center, 16th Street and Franklin Avenue, for "An Insider's View" featuring film screenings and presentations on his adventures in Thailand and India.

Noon to 3 p.m.: "Amazing Thailand" - This two-hour presentation features Shiley's "World Images" slide show, a 73-minute travel documentary film, discussion and a question-and-answer session, followed by a 10-minute break. The program resumes with a seminar on film production, international journalism and world travel. Admission is $6 for general admission and $5 for students, seniors and children.

6 to 10 p.m.: Part 1 features Shiley's "World Images" slide show and a screening of "Amazing Thailand." Discussion and a question-and-answer session follow. Part 2 includes a screening of the 80-minute film, "India: Sacred and Profane," followed by a short discussion. Tickets are $10 for general admission and $7 for students, seniors and children.

Shiley worked as a freelance journalist in Iraq for three ABC affiliate stations including KATU in Portland, ABC "World News Tonight" and "Nightline."
