The Seafood School presents two of its popular Crab Saturdays this month, from 1 to 3 p.m. Jan. 15 and 29.

The public workshops feature Nick Furman from the Oregon Dungeness Crab Commission talking about Dungeness crab and the crabbing industry, plus an experienced crab shaker who will demonstrate how to do it like the pros. Chef Eric Jenkins will demonstrate the preparation of three fresh crab dishes, with tastings to follow.
